About Chris Williams

I am a writer, editor, and website developer based in Stuttgart, Germany, who specializes in providing professional communications for academic and nonprofit scientific and medical organizations. Over the years, I have held staff positions at Edge.org, the New York Academy of Sciences, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the Columbia University Department of Systems Biology. Currently I am a science editor at the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS). Visit my writing & editing, website development, and LinkedIn pages for more information about my work experience.

I also engage regularly in a variety of artistic activities spanning a number of disciplines. I’m a founding member of an experimental sound and multimedia art project called the Glass Bees, have been using some of the approaches developed there in a solo project called If/When, have recently been developing a portfolio of photography and computer-generated art, and am trying to get the hang of screen printing. I’ve also written and performed music, and compose the occasional blog post on my recent activities or on topics related to music, art, architecture, and interesting locations. See the navigation on the left for more information.
